DRAGONFLY RESIDENCE

Nestled on a 28 acre lot, Dragonfly Residence draws its name from the abundance of dragonflies that occupy the site. The home’s flat and sloped roof form is a direct relation to the exotic flying insect’s silhouette, even down to the cantilevered tail of the primary bedroom.

This residence is both grounded and dynamic. A low profile and material palette of warm wood, crisp concrete, and expansive glass allow the house to blend seamlessly into its natural context, while carefully choreographed views frame the rolling meadow, mature trees, and ever-changing light of the site.

Interior spaces unfold with intentional simplicity, balancing openness and intimacy to support the rhythms of everyday life. More than a retreat, Dragonfly Residence is a study in how architecture can emerge from and enhance a sense of place. It reflects a deep appreciation for the land, the patterns of nature, and the power of design to create both shelter and poetry.
